Rachel has joined the Prime Minister, the Chancellor, and the Business Secretary to launch the government’s industrial strategy at HORIBA MIRA – a major employer for North Warwickshire and Bedworth. Rachel said the location of the launch reflected how essential West Midlands manufacturing was to the government’s ambitions for the economy.

The industrial strategy is Labour’s plan to get the economy firing on all cylinders again, including by:
  • Cutting high energy costs for businesses.
  • Championing free and fair trade through new trade deals.
  • Championing Britain’s best sectors, including manufacturing, clean energy, and digital.
  • Investing in skills to get people trained up for the jobs of the future.
  • Cutting red tape and getting Britain building again.
