Rachel has voiced her support for a campaign to raise funds for the Polesworth Donkey Sanctuary.
She recently visited the sanctuary, where she saw firsthand the great work they were doing providing a home to rescued animals and supporting the local community, including people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

“It was wonderful to visit the Polesworth Donkey Sanctuary last month and see all the animals looking happy after they have been rescued. I’m delighted to be supporting their fundraiser to ensure the sanctuary can stay open.
There is a fantastic community behind the sanctuary, with great work being done by volunteers and the positive impact it has on people with SEND. I would really encourage people to donate and visit the sanctuary for a great family day out!”
Jeff Williams, owner of the Polesworth Donkey Sanctuary, said:
“We have already been bowled over by the support we’ve received from the local community for our fundraiser, so it’s great to also have our local MP throw her weight behind the campaign.
The small team at Polesworth Donkey Sanctuary work 7 days a week to rescue and rehabilitate animals and give donkeys, goats, ponies, chickens, alpacas and more a second chance at life. Now we want to secure the sanctuary’s land and build dedicated classrooms so we can create more safe, inclusive spaces for children and adults to enjoy, learn, and feel truly welcome. All donations, no matter how big or small, will be hugely appreciated.”
