Rachel has restated her support for a campaign by sugar beet farmers to get a better price from British Sugar, having previously raised questions with the government on the issue.
This week she visited Boultbees Farm in Baxterley and meet Andrew Trivett and the team there. As the only sugar beet growers in the area, the farm also produces thousands of tonnes of wheat, barley, oilseed rape, and run a feed supply business. When parliament returns in September Rachel will be pushing for more action on the issues they raised during the visit, including action to tackle pests and crop disease, and improving trade conditions.
