The Believe in Bedworth board is on a mission to breathe new life back into Bedworth town centre. Rachel joined Cllr Chris Watkins, Leader and Cllr Nicky King, Cabinet Member for Business and Regeneration, on a walk around the town centre on recently to discuss Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council’s drive to bring empty properties into use and to discuss some exciting plans for the town centre. It was also a breath of fresh air for a Council leader to get stuck in with reporting fly tipping, overgrown bushes and dead trees straight away.
When Rachel returned to the constituency the following weekend, after a busy week in Westminster, she was delighted to see Bedworth looking much smarter . The dead trees have already been cleared from outside the Almhouses which really opened up that part of the town, and the bushes have also been cut around the library, doctors and other parts of the town centre. Rachel thanked Cllr Watkins and Cllr King for joining me and for taking action so quickly.
