Rachel has visited Sykes Timber in Atherstone, and met with the owners, Joe and Richard Sykes. She said:
“It was an absolute pleasure to meet Joe and Richard Sykes at Sykes Timber. Sykes has been run by 6 generations of the Sykes family for over 160 years, so it was great to hear how they apply that family ethos to providing a good environment for their staff.
We had a great chat about issues impacting their business as well as wider challenges for our local economy, including how we can get young people into good jobs, something they pride themselves on doing. I was also thrilled that we were able to arrange for Joe to visit Parliament recently.”
