Rachel has joined Bedworth residents Terry and Chris on their canal boat to get a boaters’ perspective on the impact of the proposed Grand Union Canal Transfer Scheme.
Following the trip, Rachel said:
“It was great to join Terry and Chris on their canal boat Grace last week, to get a boater’s perspective of the Grand Union Canal Transfer Scheme. Some tasty brownies too!
“Hawkesbury Junction is a beautiful part of the canal network and it is great that residents of Bedworth have access to this historic area right on their doorstep and I want to ensure this is not compromised. If the scheme goes ahead they must widen and improve the tow path along this stretch so more local residents can enjoy the area on foot or by bike.”
