Rachel visiting Corley Services as part of her campaign to tackle freight crime

As part of her campaign to tackle serious organised freight crime, Rachel has visited Corley Services with representatives of Welcome Break and Warwickshire Police to discuss the action that is needed to deter criminals, protect drivers, and safeguard the freight and logistics industry.

The sector employs 20% of North Warwickshire and Bedworth residents, and Rachel chairs the APPG for Freight and Logistics in parliament, in association with the Road Haulage Association.

Corley services is one of the UK’s top ten hot spots for freight crime. Rachel is campaigning for the government to do more to tackle freight crime, including by launching a report and organising a parliamentary debate on the issue.

On the visit, Rachel discussed ways to address the blight of organised freight crime, support HGV Driver Welfare, and deliver more apprenticeships in the sector.
