The Labour government gave Reform-led Warwickshire County Council more than £7 million in additional funding to tackle potholes, a 40% increase to Warwickshire’s pothole budget.
But Rachel has discovered that despite the huge boost in funding, spending by Warwickshire County Council on tackling potholes has fallen by 11% across the county since Reform UK took over.
Even more shockingly, spending on pothole repairs has fallen by 39% in Nuneaton and Bedworth and by a staggering 51% in North Warwickshire.
Rachel regularly raises the poor state of North Warwickshire and Bedworth’s roads with WCC, and has written to George Finch, the Leader of the Council, demanding an explanation.
She has also launched a petition, calling on Reform UK to reverse the cut to pothole spending in North Warwickshire and Bedworth.
