Rachel has attended a St George’s Day event in Bedworth Town Centre that was funded and organised by Believe in Bedworth, with support from the government’s £20 million Pride in Place project.

Speaking after the event, she said:

“It was great to see Bedworth Town Centre so busy for the Believe in Bedworth Saint George’s Day event. The covered market was packed and looked really festive decked out with the St. George’s bunting.

“With the Ansley Morris Dancers performing, children getting their faces painted, a giant St. George’s knight to greet people, and the Mayor Bhim Saru joining in, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The £20 million from the government helps to pay for these events, so we can get our town centre buzzing again. It was fantastic to see our cafes packed and to meet with residents still sharing their ideas for how we can transform Bedworth.”
