Rachel recently met with campaigners, including women with metastatic breast cancer at the end of their lives, who were devastated that several members of the House of Lords have blocked the bill to legalise assisted dying for terminally ill people with less than six months to live.
Rachel said: “I support this bill because I believe terminally ill people should have the right to choose how they end their life with dignity. I am deeply disappointed that unelected Lords have blocked it after MPs voted in favour. I will keep campaigning to ensure everyone has a right to more choice and control at the end of their lives.”
