The Conservatives in Atherstone have twice promised to reopen the public toilets in their local elections campaigns, before breaking that promise as soon as the election is over.
Public toilets are important for residents and visitors, particularly those who are elderly, pregnant, have health problems or young children.
North Warwickshire Borough Council repeatedly promised that the old toilets building in the bus station would have a public toilet when it reopened. Despite this, the building has reopened as a Phlebotomy Clinic, without toilets available. No more broken promises. Atherstone deserves proper public toilets.
