Rachel has visited Warwickshire Search and Rescue to learn more about the vital work the charity carries out across the county and to take part in a training exercise with volunteers.
During the visit, Rachel met members of the team and heard how more than 100 volunteers dedicate countless hours to providing lowland search and rescue support, often responding to challenging and distressing incidents. She learned about the extensive training, skill and commitment required to help keep local communities safe and praised the dedication of the volunteers who give their time to the service.
Rachel highlighted the important role Warwickshire Search and Rescue plays in supporting emergency services and serving local communities. The charity is funded entirely through donations and relies on public support to continue its work. More information including how to donate can be found here: https://warksar.org.uk/
