Liz, Jack and Sian showed Rachel around Bedworth Health Centre. They deliver a wide range of services on-site including family planning services, some minor surgery services including joint injections, and diabetes clinics, as well as a full GP and nurse practitioner service. Rachel was pleased to hear how they value their staff and invest in professional development at the same time as managing increasing demands.
It was also good to hear that the diagnostics centre at George Eliot is reducing follow up GP appointments meaning patients can be seen more quickly.
Rachel said “It’s always great to see the government’s investment in health services having a real impact on the ground”.
