Rachel has handed out awards to young people in Atherstone who took part in Atherstone Library’s Summer Reading Challenge. Speaking afterwards she said:
“Atherstone Library is where I fell in love with reading. I remember my mum taking me there as a child and how exciting it was when I was able to go on my own and pick my own books.
“Atherstone Library’s Summer Reading Challenge is a great way to encourage children to read over the summer. Congratulations to all the children taking part. I really enjoyed giving out medals alongside local Councillor Neil Dirveiks and hearing about the books the children had been reading over the summer. Great mocha too at the Cosy Chapter another fantastic new business on Long Street.”
