Rachel has chaired a Road Haulage Association panel at Labour Party Conference, bringing together industry and parliamentary voices to discuss how to connect the freight and logistics sector to international markets, grow the economy and keep goods moving.
With around 20% of her constituents working in the freight and logistics sector, Rachel chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Freight and Logistics, championing the industry’s interests in Parliament.
The discussion also gave Rachel the opportunity to press for action on driver welfare, tackling freight crime and making it easier for businesses to access key import and export markets.
