Whilst today on 8th March is International Women’s Day where the achievements and contribution that women make across the world are recognised, I wanted to use the opportunity to shine the spotlight here on inspiring women from amongst our own community.

That’s why this International Women’s Day I’m launching ‘the North Warwickshire and Bedworth Big Up for Women’ and I invite our community to nominate the women in our neighbourhood who deserve a moment of recogntion.

Perhaps you can think of a women who has…

• Overcome obstacles against the odds
• Shown care and compassion
• Gone above and beyond the call of duty
• Broken down barriers
• Shown dedication within their community, or..
• Run a small business
